Hey there, we are downloading movies, where we don't have any idea about the prints on the market. We waste lot of bandwidth on the internet by download movies from site/torrents. And finally we see the movie is not with that good clarity or sound.

Today, I wil
l explain you what we can download and what we have to ignore.

CAM -- These are VCD format recorder used on cinema with a camcorder. As this is taken from an Theater there wont be much of video/audio clarity.
Rating: Video=2/Audio=2

Telesync -- It is just like CAM print but
the audio are connected externally. Hence you will get good audio exp. and okay video exp.
Rating: V-4/A-5

R6 Line -- The Word "R" refers to region code. Now R6 refers to Region 5, which comprises, appropriately so, to the People's Republic Of China and Hong Kong. Studios release these R5/R6 retails much earlier than a movie would actually appear on DVD.
Rating: V-5/A-6

Screener -- A Screener is usually recorded from a promotional video tape (Screener) or DVD (DVD Screener) which is sent to censors and film critics etc.. The quality is usually as good as a commercial product, some times a copyright message appears on the screen.
Rating: V-7/A-7

R5 Line -- The Word "R" refers to region code. Now R5 refers to Region 5, these are the regions coming under code 5 India, Afghanistan, Ukraine, Belarus, Russia, Africa (except Egypt, South Africa, Swaziland, and Lesotho), Central and South Asia, Mongolia, North Korea. Studios release these R5/R6 retails much earlier than a movie would actually appear on DVD.
Rating:
V-8/A-6

DVDRip -- VCDs with this on the cover are ripped from DVD or Laserdisc versions of the film and the quality is as good as genuine VCDs.
Rating: V-8/A-8

Blu-Ray && HD DVD -- The Blu-Ray and HD DVD are the highest performance and gives you High definition movies. The problem is that Blu-ray player won't play HD DVD movies and your HD DVD machine won't be able to read Blu-ray movies. Normal DVD/CD will be using red laser to read and write data to and from a disc but Blu-ray and HD DVD both use a blue laser, which has a shorter wavelength than red ones. DVDs can store around 4.7GB worth of data on a single side (8.5 for a dual layer DVD). But, HD DVDs can store up to 15GB on a single layer while Blu-ray can hold 25GB on one layer.
Rating: V-10/A-10
